Celebrity Horses
During our trip to Rolex Horse Show in Lexington, Kentucky, 2010, we were honored to have the opportunity to work with Molly the Pony. Molly’'s story has inspired countless people in the horse community and many others across the nation. Bryan gave Molly a full Acu-Point Assessment followed by a full Red Light Therapy Session. Molly responded very well to the treatment and was noticeably calmer. We were even able to alleviate symptoms of phantom limb from her amputated leg.

Photonic Health worked on Oscar, one of the four horses who starred as Hidalgo in the movie of the same title. Oscar recieved a full red light therapy session and experienced positive results. We would like to thank Stephanie Lockhart for the opportunity to work with Oscar.
"We are still seeing amazing effects on our horse Oscar that you worked on at the Northeast Equine event late May. He continues to be moving freer than we've ever seen, but the best part is that he has been able to let go of a lot of his emotional baggage! He looks better and is visibly happier!"

An "Off" Horse
A dear friends horse has been "off" for about 6 weeks this spring. Nothing you could really pinpoint - she just didn't want to go like she would normally. This mare has competed in LD's and could really go - she loves to trot and canter and now all she wants to do is walk and had to be pushed to trot. So...I offered to try the Photonic Health Acu-light on her and she accepted. We followed the book and did the point work on the Gall Bladder meridian with a little extra work on the tendons in her front legs. Tonight I got a call from a very excited friend! She took her horse out to the same ride near the barn where she's been riding with fantastic results. She got her horse back! Reba was trotting and cantering like she was a couple of months ago! Sue had been skeptical about the Acu-lightbut was willing to give it a try - she certainly didn't expect to see such dramatic results. It is so exciting!

Leg Injury
In March, 2009 my horse Bailey severely injured his right back leg. I followed veterinary recommendations for the first two weeks. After that I started applying essential oils for healing the leg and proud flesh formation. In April I purchased a Photonic Red Light and began using it daily on his leg to help with the healing. Bit by bit the old skin sloughed off and now there is one line of scar. He is completely sound and has no lameness.

Joint Injury
I thought I'd let you know how my horse Gypsy (my horse with the joint injury that caused me to finally buy the photonic torch) is doing. She exceeded all expectation, and at her 3 month check up the vet said I can go ahead and start riding her!
She passed the veterinary flexion test where they hold the leg bent for five muntes then walk and trot on concrete with only a minor reaction at the trot. Her xray came out with some arthritis in the joint but no more than many horses get due to age.
My vet encouraged me to massage her knee to help break down scar tissue, and I do that several times a week. I'm still using the red light on her knee, 30 sec. a spot; but she has NO patience with the wellness points any more. It's like she is saying "mom, I'm well! Get over it!"

Digestive Issues - Suspected Colic
A fellow student with a lease horse had had the vet come out for a suspected colic a couple days before you came. The vet had doused the horse with oil and said to expect the horse to begin passing oil and manure. The horse had still not had a bowel movement in the first two days and my friend had borrowed my newly purchased red light and used the colic points chart. A couple hours later she approached me, very upset, and asked if she could use it again. I went with her and the horse had a prolapsed rectum at this point. Neither of us had seen this before and it was very upsetting. The horse's normal vet couldn't get out to her and we began calling area vets. One finally said he could come in about an hour, so we began to wait. She decided to use the red light again and used the chart for digestive system points this time. I walked away to get my horse and by the time I came back 10 minutes later she was staring in amazement. She said as soon as she finished using the red light she watched as the prolapsed rectum disappeared and the horse began passing gas and drinking lots of water. By the time the vet arrived, the horse was much better. He did a checkup and said the horse was going to be just fine.
I wanted to share this story and tell you I use my red light constantly on my animals now. It helps heal small wounds from scratching and keeps the fly bites on the belly from becoming wounds. I am currently using it for inflamed hocks on one horse and an inflamed stifle on another one. Thanks so very much for all you do and for this amazing product!
Arthrosis, Swelling, & Barefoot Trimming
I am a great fan of the photonic red light. We use it very successful for the arthrosis of our 17 year old gelding. He also had an accident and the ring band of the left hind leg was swollen and injured. Thanks to a continuing every-day therapy of the red light, the injury of the tendon is gone and we feel that we can help him a lot especially in the winter with the arthrosis of his hind leg.
I also use it very successfully with horses which have sore feet as I do also barefoot trimming.

Muscle Soreness and Pain Management
I just wanted to say thank you for your product and courses because I got to see the benefits to my horse yesterday and was so happy that his pain was relieved quickly.
I have an Arabian stallion who will be 9 years old next week. I bred him and have owned him since birth. He is as important to me as my children. I love him and there is nothing more I want for him than that he is happy and healthy.
He's been out of training for a couple of months so I had a new trainer come out and work with him Wednesday, April 12, 2012. While she was lungeing him, he spun around on his hind legs three times, very hard and fast. After his workout, we put him in his paddock and stood around for an hour talking. I noticed my stallion tossing his head up and down, something I've never seen him do. I thought he was bored or just goofing off so I didn't pay much attention. After the trainer left, I went over to groom him and spend some time with him. That's when I realized he couldn't walk and he was tossing his head from the pain. He was holding his left hind leg up off the ground. I thought something was seriously wrong and called my vet. He couldn't come out yesterday but he said it's probably either an abcess or a fracture. I told him my equine podiatrist was on her way over to trim his hoofs and he said she should be able to tell if he has an abcess. I hoped that's all it was but by then I was so concerned I was nearly crying.
Cindy Ford, our equine podiatrist, arrived about an hour later. My stallion had slowly, inch by inch, made his way over to his hay and was nibbling at it but otherwise he wasn't moving and was still tossing his head between bites. I told Cindy what had happened and the first thing she did was start running her hands down his back and down his hindquarters and hind legs. Right away I could see him flinching at certain points and she showed me that his muscles were rock hard on his right side and he was also reacting on his left side. She said she was taking a course in red light therapy and had her red light with her. She offered to use it on him to help release his muscles. I was willing to try anything to help him feel better, it was breaking my heart to see him in so much pain, so I was fine with her trying red light therapy on him even though I didn't know anything about it.
As she used the red light on his accupressure points, she explained to me how it works on his cells and that we would see him release. As she worked her way along his back and down his hindquarters, he visibly relaxed, started licking and chewing, and seemed to be dozing off. She used the light on both sides of his body and then trimmed his hoofs. He was so relaxed, I barely had to hold him during his trim. He stood still, head down, eyes half closed, licking and chewing or sticking his tongue out the side of his mouth (something I've never seen him do), and pretty soon he began drooling (also something I've never seen him do). About an hour later, Cindy was finished with his hoofs and she checked his muscles again. He still had some tension on the right side so she spent some time doing more red light therapy on him. He continued to relax and finally yawned. Cindy asked me to walk him so I moved him out. When I had tried to walk him for her before the red light therapy, I could hardly move him because he was so stiff and in pain. This time, he was a bit hesitant for the first few steps and then he was moving along with me easily. He still had some stiffness in the right hind leg but he was so much better and happier.
Seeing the difference the red light therapy made for him, He's my only horse and very important to me. To see the improvement so quickly, the relief from pain, I can't see not having red light therapy available for him all the time. He loved it. I love it.
Thank you!

A Horses Intuition
I just had to share my interesting Red Light Therapy session with Proud this morning! His back has been a little sore so I used the Red Light last night and again this morning. But, this morning after doing a few points, I decided to do a test and see if Proud would actually position the Red Light somewhere in particular.
So, I moved a couple of feet away and held out the Red Light. He walked past me and appeared to stop where he wanted the Red Light. So, I held it there until he moved backwards and stopped at another location. I wasn't convinced that he was doing this on purpose but then he moved to where I was on the other side of him and purposefully moved to where the Red Light was right at a particular point in front of his shoulder. This time, he started licking and chewing, dropped his head to the ground, then he started nibbling on my shoe, and finally started pawing that leg. We’d definitely hit the spot! After a bit, he moved to one more place and almost fell asleep so we ended it there.
Afterwards, he really stretched out one of his back legs. Very interesting session! Can't wait to do another saddle fit to make sure the saddle isn't causing his sore back and then ride him again to see how this affects our circles and flexion.
Always learning something new about this wonderful product!

Corneal Abrasion
I arrived at the barn to discover Piper’s left eye so swollen he was unable to open it completely and the skin so tight that it was shiny. The eye was tearing uncontrollably, sensitive to light and very painful. After only one red light application in 24 hours, the eye was no longer tearing, barely swollen, no longer sensitive to light and no longer painful.

Stress Colic
Had great success last year with our horse. Our horse had stress colic after we were involved in an accident on the way home from a show. I used the red light and it worked a treat. He was very stressed so I took him to the vet. By the time we got there… nothing. He was fine. Red lighted a few more times and he was perfectly relaxed and quiet, munching away. Love my red light. Thank you so much Photonic Health.

Colic
I had an interesting episode with a client. She breeds, trains and sells Andalusians and had purchased a light from me. When I showed up at her facility to deliver the light and work with her, one of her prized broodmares was down in her stall and colicking. I went in with the light, did all of the colic points and within 20 minutes, the mare was out in the pasture grazing. Needless to say, it didn't take much convincing for my client to feel like she had spent her money well!

Uveitis
My young horse was diagnosed with equine recurrent uveitis and nearly a year ago the vets told me to remove her eye. She had red light therapy among other natural treatments and hasn't had an episode since! Sending healing thoughts.

Colic
Another success story for photonic lights: my Paso Fino, Matteo, showed signs of colic last night; laying down, rolling, looking at side. No gut sounds at all. Clearly in pain. Applied lights in colic formation, 20 minutes later, he's up with gut sounds both sides. That was last night. This morning, perfectly normal!!! Thanks Photonic Health, from the Institute of Applied Equine Podiatry. You guys ROCK!! :)

Sweaty, Belching Horses
I would like the opportunity to give a testimonial on my Photonic Health red light experience. Last night, after returning home after dark and going to the barn to feed, I noticed my horses damp with sweat. They weren’t interested in feed or hay, but were on their feet. When I turned them out, they started to paw and roll. I immediately went for my red light. One horse was fine, but the other was actually belching with no gut sounds. I started the colic points from my barn chart. I proceeded to repeat the points working on both sides, and within 20-30 minutes I was hearing all kind of gut sounds. We continued the therapy, and stayed with the horses well after we were seeing results. We still withheld feed and hay to rest the gut, but the red light again saved a mild gas colic from getting worse. I highly recommend the Photonic Health red light. Thank you Donna and Bryan.

Horse Colic
I want to start off by thanking you for coming to do the clinic here in Chestertown, MD! I learned so much and the red light I purchased at the clinic has been literally a life saver! My thoroughbred, Cheater, had a colic episode last month. I was skeptical but decided to use the colic points and sure enough, he was under control and normal right away. WOW! Since the clinic I have been using it on my dogs, rescue horses, and my competition horses. I just purchased another one for my mother who got tired of asking me to work on her. I want to get more involved, get better educated, and do more. When you were here you talked about an online course being offered? I've been watching the website, haven't seen anything posted. Is there an online course yet? I'm totally interested in anything you have to offer. Robin Travis and I have done some of our own studies and getting ready to start working on two separate horses with Cushing's Syndrome. So many people are asking about when you'll be coming back. At our club’s biggest dressage event I worked on our team’s horses and our riders. They were amazed at the transformation my trainer saw in my horse. They want to get involved now too. I've directed them to your site but most will be more comfortable learning how to use it in person. Maybe we should do another clinic. Thanks again for opening my eyes to this new therapy. Happy New Year!

Saddle Sore Horse
Tonight my horse was a little ouchy behind where my saddle goes. I used the red light on the area and it really warmed up; much more than I have ever felt it before! After a few minutes he went from hollowing his back to not evening blinking an eye. That always gives me goose bumps!

Cancer
Bryan came to Savvy Stables to teach the Level 1 Photonic class. I showed him a boarder’s horse which had cancer on her nose. He told me to put black salve on it and the red light it. Well, it's been remarkable. Even her vet asked what we were doing and wanted the information. He had been treating it by cutting the cancer off then spraying that silver stuff on it.

Locking Stifle
My Success story with Red Light Therapy. I am definitely new to this and still learning. I first heard of red light from Parelli Natural Horse-Man-Ship and fellow Parelli Professionals. (Unfortunately, to get started I purchased a used no name light from a horse forum. I really don't think it has the quality, or strength of your light, but it got me started.) I have a pure bred Friesian gelding that is 3 years old named Enzo. He has developed locking stifle issues on both sides. I have had selenium, hoof, and health issues all checked to be safe, but his stifles still lock. After I got the red light I used it on hip area, and around the stifle areas as much as I can and added more back end work/hill therapy for my horse that is at a boarding facility an hour from my city home. I am seeing a huge difference in both stifles already! Left leg is already cleared up!! And right side is much better! My horse’s confidence is coming back daily when he needs to change gait. Enzo was scared to change gait before, since he would lock, or completely trip. Enzo is also gaining really nice muscles in his back, loins, and legs. His stifle muscle is much larger now in such a short time. I know the hill therapy helps as well, but I am positive I am seeing the faster and stronger results more from the red light! Plus I know Enzo loves the red light! He licks, chews, sighs, drops, and yawns out of control. This from my extroverted horse! When I red light him it's the only time he stands still with enjoyment. Thanks red light and Photonic Health for this opportunity!!

Osteoarthritis in Hocks
"Put the horse and the relationship first." It is by this mantra that I try to live for my horse, myself, and for life. As a result, putting the horse first, over any horsemanship goals I may have, has led me down a path of exploration in an attempt to improve my horse's quality of life. You see, last fall my fifteen year young Arabian, Rydel, was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in her hocks, a condition that will only get worse with age. For months, I could tell that something was wrong with my girl. Her back was sore, she was refusing most forward movement under saddle, and she wouldn't pick up a certain lead when playing on the ground. I knew she was suffering and I was determined to figure out why. I tried everything to alleviate her pain, I had chiropractors and massage therapists work on her back which only provided short term results. Once it was officially determined that the hock pain was causing her to tense the muscles in her back, I tried a variety of different supplements, muscle relaxers, and anti-inflammatory medication with minimal success. I was at such a loss, unwilling to ride or do anything that might cause her pain, I felt like I was losing my horse altogether. After some extensive research and hearing positive testimonials about photonic light therapy, I decided to call a Parelli Professional in my area that had a Photonic Health light and knew how to use it. I was unsure if it would provide as much relief as I was looking for, but I was desperate and willing to try anything! The Parelli Professional explained the different points of the horse that the red light would be most effective and how it would stimulate the mitochondria in the cells to promote blood flow and healing, and pain eliminating endorphins would be released in the process. I watched intensely as she began to red light various points along my horse's neck, back, stifle, and legs. After only a few seconds of photonic therapy, my horse began to show dramatic signs of relaxation. Her head lowered, she started licking and chewing, she even changed her position to square up after the red light was placed over her hip! I was blown away! Already, I had seen such a huge improvement in the expression and demeanor of my horse. After a few more points were red lighted Rydel began blowing out and yawning. After the whole process, Rydel blew out of her nostrils, released gas, and yawned for about ten minutes straight! I had never seen such an extreme response from any form of therapy I had used in the past compared to what I was seeing with the red light. Here I thought I was getting results from my joint supplements and expensive chiropractics, and none of that compared to the amount of relaxation and euphoria I could tell my horse was experiencing in that moment. She walked without stiffness or hesitation, she kept a relaxed frame and did not stop blowing out, and licking and chewing for a long time after the photonic therapy was administered. What I saw and what my horse experienced that day, changed my whole outlook on managing my horse's pain. It gave me hope that I would be able to put my horse and her physical needs first without having to abandon doing the things I love. Thank you, Photonic Health, for "showing me the light!" :)

Injury to Horse’s Head
Just a short story about a horse, a girl and her red light. Tuesday morning I got to barn early to find my mare just not looking right. As I did some touching and feeling, I lifted her forelock up and there was a HOLE in her forehead. I called the vet. They said: “you can you bring her in”. I hooked up the trailer, went to get the horse, but she CAN NOT walk. I called the vet to tell them they needed to come to me. 30 minutes later the vet was looking at her. She could hardly walk by then. The vet cleaned the wound which was all the way to her bone. It had got a fracture, and wound is the size of a quarter. I was red lighting the whole time. He scrubbed it out, flushed it out, I was still red lighting, he stitched it up, I was red lighting, and he put some Alumshield on her wound. She's barely walking at this point. I put her in small paddock, while red lighting. I slept at the barn red lighting every hour or so for about 20 minutes. I left yesterday for a few hours to eat shower, and try to sleep. I got back to the barn and she has JUMPED the fence to get with the herd, grazing in the big pasture. I put her back in the paddock with another horse, checked the wound, red lighted again for about 20-30 minutes, gave hay and came home. This morning she's feeling 100% better and whinnying at me. Fed her and the other horse. She is back to herself as she was pushing other horse off of his feed. The wound is almost healed. Can hardly tell where stitches are. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I have also been red lighting jugular to help with getting rid of meds she was given. LOVE MY RED LIGHT. WON'T BE WITHOUT!!!!
